Have you spent all of your Agency price-fixing rebates?

I spent my very small rebate ($5) with Amazon in less than the blink of an eye and got three books. Most of my rebate at Barnes and Noble ($75) is still there because usually when I want to buy a book, it is considerably cheaper somewhere else. Today I bought The Fault in our Stars because my granddaughters want me to read it now and the library hold list is long. I also bought The Rites of Spring to read for the MR Book Club. TFioS was $4.99 at Amazon and $8.99 at BN. TRoS was $5.19 w/coupon at Kobo and $10.99 at BN. I, of course, bought at Amazon and Kobo. I know there are better deals available if I had the patience to cyber travel or wait for bigger codes but these prices were good enough for me to click "buy" and definitely better than BN. Anybody else having trouble spending your rebates because your rebate dollars are in the wrong place? |

I had a small rebate at Kobo and spent that quickly, also using coupons. I haven't spent any of my BN rebate.

I got a bit over 60$ from Amazon and it was gone within 2 days I think. I bought the books that I wanted to read and had on a wishlist. The kind of books that didn't appear at the library, prime loan or lending and weren't likely to go on sale. That is what I used the money on. I could have spend more as I still have some of those books on this type of wishlist. |

Last November I added a membership to the Orange County Overdrive Library to supplement the other 2 Overdrive Libraries I have access to. They have all added lots of books to their collections in the last year and a half, so my wish list is now pretty much non-existant. If I really want to read a book that is not available at the library or in my calibre library (some still there unread from early 2000s Fictionwise Deals), I do what I have always done, I buy the book. I quickly look to see who has the best price and push the button - don't really worry about format or what store as long as I can read it. BN never seems to be that store anymore. |

Weren't you able to <jump through hoops and> get a check instead of store credit? I would always go for an option like that, since money restricted to a specific store always runs the risk of not being usable when and where you need it. |

Still have it all. Hoping for another Lawrence Block sale so I can mass buy the Matthew Scudder series.

Nope. So far the daily deals at B&N have not appealed at all, so I'm still hoarding my $2.92.
