I go to https://play.google.com/books/purchases. From there, select the little 3 dot menu at the top right of each title and select "Download EPUB". That downloads the .acsm file which I process through ADE.

I use Google Play Books as my main reader on Android and iPad Mini devices. I buy from various sources, process into Calibre and then load into GPB for reading.

I find the interface fine, and it does sync across those devices, but not my Sony PRS-350 obviously. I did use the Sony app too, but when they shut the library I tried the Kobo app and thought it was rubbish. The smallest font is far to big and the font selections are ugly. The main thing is to put the books into Calibre so I can load them to whatever reader takes my fancy in the future Nick |

I like GPB also, but i'm confused about the user interface (on the chrome browser desktop). There does not seem to be a way to search your library of (uploaded) ebooks via the 'My Books' or 'Uploads' view.

When I use the search bar, the search results are not from 'My Books', so when i click an entry from the search results, its a book which i may have already uploaded into my library (and i have no way to indicate that i already own it). Is there a way to search uploaded content in 'My Books' ? I find it hard to believe that Google would allow me to upload up to 1000 books and not have a way to search them from a desktop browser ? |

There doesn't appear to be a way to search just "My Books". But... it seems to display all the book titles on one page (at least when I do a regular search it shows 100+ books on one page). I suppose you could just CTRL+F and use your browser to search the page.

I don't plan on putting that many books into Google Play. I keep all my books in Calibre and just load a few I plan on reading. When I'm done, I delete them and load new ones. I can't read 1,000 books at a time anyway.

I think that I only have a few Google Books. I don't like the interface.
