We had an outage at my place this morning and my PC, laptop, TV, DVD, iPad & my new surround sound music system were all shut down.

Then I discovered that my iPhone battery was dead and to top it off it was raining outside, so I couldn't play golf.

I went into the kitchen to make coffee and then I remembered that this also needs power, so I talked with my wife for a few hours.




She seems like a nice person.

Nice! Of course, any one who can access a terminal window could find the folder rather quickly, but it's true that most people cannot.

Hold down shift and right click on any empty area in that folder list to get a command prompt.

At the K:\Chemistry> prompt that you get, type in the following:

FOR /d %a in (*) do @move "%a\*.*" ".\"

That will move all files back to the K:\Chemistry folder.

Nahhhh. Just ls -r * and you've found where he put your files.
Then you can use the GUI to move it and delete the rest.
