So what are you doing RIGHT NOW?
Dylrob's right, pooh. I'm just the voice of your guilty conscience; the accusing memory of your past misdeeds.

I'm hearing dead people????
![]() Obviously I'm not competent to stand trial or be punished. ![]() I'll just sign myself into a cushy rehab spa instead (seems to work for celebs & politicos no matter what the 'alleged' crime) and learn to be a 'kinder gentler' murderer chicken ![]() |

Fixing some pot roast in the slow cooker. London Broil is probably not the best choice, but it was on sale.
Hmmm. Two nights ago I fixed homemade chicken pot pie. Tonight I'm fixing pot roast. I'm sensing a theme here. What do you think we should have for dessert? ![]() |

A friend once had a cat that when it had to throw up it always tried to do so in the litter box. The cat wasn't trained to do so but did so by herself.
After cleaning up another hairball I wonder if this behaviour can be trained. Luckily Lexie isn't as bad as Nikita, who always tried to set a record for the furthest projectile vomiting and always vomited three times. Lexie does, however, revenge-puke when I'm away. |

Sammie cat has 'puking storms' when she vomits hairballs - first the food (always on a full stomach), then the hair, and then she apparently has a panic attack and runs through the house, periodically pausing to vomit stomach fluid/saliva. This can go on for 30 minutes or so. I discovered that it was stress/nerves that kept her vomiting - if I can catch her and hold her on her back like a baby and rub her tummy, she calms down and stops vomiting. Why yes, I do have several cans of Resolve carpet cleaner in the pantry. ![]() |

Attempting to make my own enamel dots, a craft embellishment. I love them but they are quite expensive (€4-5 per sheet) and although I love the pastel colours that are popular right now I also would like some other colours.
I've bought a bottle of glossy accents, made various sized dots on a bit of waxed paper, according to some tutorials I should let it dry for about 24 hours, then I can paint them over with nail polish and let them dry for another 24 hours. After that she should be ready to use. I hope it works. |

Pouring over really poor quality topo maps of the border area between Northern Thailand and Laos. It looks as if we'll be about 50-60k west of Luang Prubang, and about 80k north-west of Vientiane, in the Phu Sang National Biodiversity Project, right on the border. There is just nothing human there for miles!

As good as can be expected I suppose. I've gone from walker to crutches to just one crutch around the house. I'd need two if I were to go out, all of this in 24 hours! I still get some pretty over the top pains, but they are more and more rare. Strider cat is snuggling, he gets that something is wrong but not sure what. I've had to launch him off of knee a couple of times, poor guy.
Aragorn comes home tomorrow. I'm not as worried about tripping over him as I was. My main concern with him is that every once in awhile he goes full goofy Newfie and jumps on the bed and romps around. I think, at least hope that he'll grok what's going on and chill |

At least you have a sympathetic animal. Norton's loving, but not very empathic. He wants to run out the door every chance he gets, and I have to chase him down and carry him back in the house, broken rib and all. Thanks a lot, little buddy!

Sitting around drinking iced coffee. My dad had surgery on Wednesday afternoon and he's doing pretty good. Lots of people have been sending over stuff for us too.
