boox m92 Suddenly stops working
I have Boox M92,The screen became totally black!!
![]() Even i tryed restarting the device but no change, and still the same (black screen) ![]() The battery is fully charged & When you push on the bottons you feel like there is resoponding from the device but still nothing on the screen. Any idea would be helpful to me. Image of the showcase is attached |

Do you see any LED lights on the right hand side of the device when you try to power it on? There should be a blue one.

OK. Well, that's actually a good thing -- the unit is getting power.
How long have you had it? Did it used to work, and then stopped? I don't necessarily want to suggest that you open the M92, although it is relatively simple to do (I don't know where you bought yours or whether doing so voids warranty) -- but this may be a simple disconnection of the screen from the main board, in which case all you'd need to do would be to reconnect it. If you bought your M92 from ereader-store.de, send them an email via the website or send Booxtor (on this BBoard) a private message. He will be able to tell you more confidently than I can (he may join this thread anyway). |

first of all, the unit was working just fine , but suddenly the screen became totally black, no white dots appearing at all !!!!.
So as your suggestion :the screen could be disconnected from the main board, but this is impossible !!, because I'm taking care so so much than what any body could Imagine .. any way I'm wondering if this problem happen to other users like me ! . one more thing : are you sure about the power connection of the screen if this screen disconnected from the main board it will become black !! Thank you for your time to help me . . |

You're probably right -- it must be a problem with the screen itself then. Or at least, that would be my guess.
My own M92 had a completely different problem. I'm familiar with that problem, but not a black screen. Where did you purchase your M92? |

When the M92 is power on, and you press the home button : do you see something ?
For be sure to be "on", wait few minutes after the blue led blanking. |

Hi,
just please contact our store using contact page and your problem will be solved very soon. Regarding your problem - it could indeed have many reasons. The screen could be damaged, the screen to PCB cable could be damaged, the battery could be discharged too deeply (led blinks three times), PCB could get malfunction. To be able to see what exactly is wrong with your device we need to inspect it in our lab first. In any case you cannot recover it yourself - sending to service is necessary. |
