Snooping is risky business…sometimes it pays off in unexpected ways.

Jenn has been in love with her best friend since college and despite their years apart she is determined to at least find out if he has any interest in her. When the opportunity opens up in the form of a job interview in his hometown, she jumps on a plane with a plan to see what happens.

Riley walked away from Jenn after college to explore and understand the dark side of him that harbored needs he knew she was too young to understand. They kept in touch and after years of exploration into his kinks, he’s decided the time for hiding the truth from the woman he loved has come to an end.

When Jenn finds a BDSM book and a flyer for a local sex club in his condo, she is both shocked and intrigued. Riley catches her red-handed snooping through his things and dares her to give him and his lifestyle a chance. Two days to explore her potential submissive side and see where it leads.

With no hesitation and barely a thought to how far he might go, she jumps at the chance to prove she’s the woman for him, even if it’s just for the weekend.
Under His Kilt Series - Melissa Blue - both 1.49 and 10-for-1 eligible (and 2.99 at Amazon
Under His Kilt
Her Insatiable Scot
Blurb:
Quote:

Under His Kilt - Book 1
Jocelyn Pearson is determined to spend her last month as a twenty-something doing everything she's too busy or scared to try. Her imagination runs wild and then fixates on Ian Baird. He'll be working at the Langston Museum for a short stint as a consulting curator. He's Scottish. He believes sex is fun to be had. He's the perfect choice for a fling. She only has to get him break his rule about sleeping with co-workers. Seducing a man was on her bucket list...

Ian is no one's fool and knows exactly what Jocelyn wants—him. If she didn't work for the Langston Museum, he'd be more than happy to oblige any and every fantasy she desired, but she's the curator. She's sweet, inexperienced and well liked by everyone including the museum owner and director. Ian can't risk losing such an important contact for his consulting business. Not even when everything within in him craves a taste of her.

When Jocelyn sets her sights on him, there's no way Ian can deny her. They agree their affair will end in thirty days. No emotions, no entanglements, just sex. The closer the end date looms, they start to question if it's possible to walk away. They'll either have to come to terms of what they've become or stick to their original agreement.

Her Insatiable Scot - Book 2
Keri Pearson is currently between jobs, so there's nothing to lose when her cousin promises her a glowing recommendation from a top expert in their field in exchange for a small favor. All she has to do is lie about who she is and pretend to be married to a charming Scot for three hours. Her sexy-as-hell pretend husband makes it too easy to play the part of newlyweds. The last thing she should do is trust him or the genuineness of his lust or adoration, but his touch ignites an unexpected desire.

Tristan Baird turned his back on his past with plenty of regrets, but when his brother blackmails him, Tristan can’t say no. Given his brother saved his neck, an afternoon doing what he does best doesn’t seem like too much to ask. And it’s for a good cause. Doing the job right guarantees his brother and new wife will have the home of their dreams. But his stunning accomplice complicates the job. She is everything he always wanted and couldn’t have. The kind of woman who is too smart to ever trust a former conman.

The three-hour commitment stretches into five sexually charged days as they fight the explosive connection. As each day passes, Keri must remind herself what is true and what is false, but the lines are blurring. Tristan can only hope his past doesn't come back to ruin their future.

I know right. It was almost like JE mixed Kate and Stephanie up. I'm okay by this as it's time for her to do a little growing up not too much though or she wouldn't be Steph.

None of the Stephanie Plums are Stand Alones so you really need to start from the beginning. They are short books and SUPER funny. 5 Hours reads I read the first 18 in two weeks I could not put them down. This series changed my life for the better. Now I have almost all in Audible wish 5 & 6 would be released in audio. Lorelei King does an amazing job. She is like the Voice Queen. C.J. Critt did the first 6 and she's good too but not as good as King who is Stephanie's voice in my book. If you have Audible credit audio is the way to go on this series although I like to read along as I listen. I use my Sansa Clip Zip and my Nexus 7 and It's bliss.

Lord and Lady Hetheridge Mystery Series by Emma Jameson $0.99

This is a bundle of three mysteries with a romantic subplot featuring a titled Scotland Yard police superintendent and one of his detectives. I saw these featured on Dear Author awhile back and grabbed the bundle yesterday. I inhaled the first one and just started the second. Definitely worth buying, especially if you like a good mix of mystery and romance.

I'm looking forward to the Helena Hunting novella and Rusty Nailed by Alice Clayton.

I was so good this week, only bought 11 books for $15. However, with all the searching for bargains and how busy I was, only got to read 3 books.

Joe and Steph would never work. Joe has too big of a family that breaks Steph out in hives, specially after 20 and then there Grandma Bella who HATES her. Ranger and her might work for awhile but he has too many secrets that would destroy any future they have and Steph is way too nosy and would eventual get killed from snooping. Ranger also comes from a huge family too. I keep hoping JE would bring that factor in but maybe it would bring his cool factor down too much. There was a huge hint in the book that Rangeman isn't what it seems to be. Personally I'd love a spin off about Rangeman and Ranger. It wouldn't even need romance in it.

Joe does have his moments in 21 much better than 20 where I was just smacking my head against the wall with his character.

I would pay a lot of money for a love-triangle based romance novel where that happens. As if it ever would...

Ever since my first introduction to the Arthur-Guinevere-Lancelot saga, a very long time ago, I've despised this particular kind of plot. While I can sort of sympathize with Guinevere's situation, I have nothing but contempt for anyone who lets themselves be strung along on "I might love you and want to be with you except I don't except I don't know and I am so confused please don't force me to actually be an adult and make decisions" promises of sex.

In my world, Lancelot is an asshole who seduces a married woman, and Arthur is pathetic for not putting a stop to it. And frankly, Guinevere is by far the biggest moron of the three, and the two men would both be better of without her.

I thought someone here mentioned Jo Beverley as being a good author. So I read one, An Arranged Marriage, and I though it was terrible. Rape, sleeping with another woman after marriage, psycho twins, and Barbie....ugh. Makes me start to re-think my plan to re-read romances I enjoyed in the 80's and 90's.

I agree.

I despise love triangles. And I will never understand why some romance authors use them so much. The whole TeamX and TeamY thing frustrates me. Why set up half your audience to be disappointed? Or why try to fool your audience by truly developing a relationship between two secondary charatcers in a series only to pair them up with other people when they finally get their own book(s)?

Which isn't to say having multiple suitors/possibilities in the beginning of book/series is always a bad thing. I don't consider Darcy/Elizabeth/Wickham to be a love trinagle as an example. And in series like Cindy Gerard's Black Ops Inc or Roxanne St Claire's Bullet Catchers where the possible romance between two characters is hinted at, but then the characters end up with others isn't the same as a bait-and-switch.

But once someone is in a relationship I want to read about that. Not about the hero or heroine vacillating between who to pick.

Justine Davis' Lord of the Storm is finally available in digital. So far just at Kobo and Amazon but should be coming to other stores as well.

I am going to be good and wait for a coupon in the next contest since I used all of mine up already.

I don't mind love triangles as long as the book isn't a Romance. Twilight wasn't a romance and Stephanie Plum isn't either. I admit I was disappointed in the Kitty Norville series. I wanted her and Cormac not Ben but again not a romance. As long as the book isn't a romance I am okay with it.

I enjoy the craziness of the 80s/ early 90s minus the force seduction scenes. I do love a good bodice ripper now and then.
