If you're taking a long trip, be it by car, train, plane, or whatever, there's no better way to pass the time. (Well, okay, conversation, maybe, but only if you're sitting with someone really interesting.)

Audible is widely regarded as the best audiobook service out there, and $14.95 per month for a one-book subscription is not a bad deal. But here's an even better one.

It worked for my wife. Didn't work for me probably because I'm a Light member, and I can't seem to cancel...might have to do with the free audiobook offer I accepted to not cancel a few months ago

I would suggest that you give them a call.

I have the "Light Listener" plan and was thinking of trying to cancel and start the cheapo trial plan also. I will let everyone know how it goes.

The thing holding me back the most is remembering, or noticing the date on my calendar, to cancel at the end of 3 months if I decided not to keep it. But, the worst that would happen is that [I'm talking to myself here, feel free to ignore me. haha] I would have to pay $14.95 for an extra month. But, I would get an additional credit for that money and maybe other perks (like a BOGO sale that month or something). Averaging the four months out (($1.95 x 4) + $14.95 / 4) would still make it a bargain on a monthly basis.

Is the special pricing back for the companion audiobooks to previously expired loans too? I'm seeing regular prices for those.
