I'm sorry to hear about the tech misfortune, Joan. Do you use Calibre at all? It might be easier to manage your ebooks with tags and shelves in Calibre and then if your device gets wiped, you'd still have the info on your computer.

Does anyone else read the Original Sinners series by Tiffany Reisz? The next book (The Saint) is coming out later this month and I am so impatient! I want it to be out already! I just finished the book of shorts - The Mistress Files - but all it did was whet my appetite.

I was thinking the same thing. But since I'm tech-challenged myself didn't know how to help, but Calibre sure would be the easiest answer in this scenario!

Gah, this is one of those series that I've had 'forever' and still haven't gotten around to starting yet. Let us know how you enjoy the newest one so I know whether to add it to my wishlist or not!

On the topic of series not started, I've decided to try and finish some [most?, lots?] of the series I've started and am so behind on. It kills me that some have 5+ books in them and they're sitting there, waiting for me to get to them. So I made a list and started with my favorite authors and trying to approach it that way. I think this approach may be helping curb my new authors purchases also, realizing just how many are in my TBR pile and how much I'd looked forward to reading them when I bought them initially...some for months...

Was it here that I heard of Arnette Lamb? I swear one of you talked about her. There are 2 books of her that just showed up on Sribd today. Chieftan and Border Bride. Wasn't the first in that series Border Lord free on pre-order?

My brain isn't working as it used too.

I had to look it up. Yes, Border Lord is free preorder coming out tomorrow. I know I must have seen that in this thread.

I've been trying to curb my new authors purchases as well, and the disappointing contest this time has helped a lot. LOL. I'm planning to only buy the books that I really want, but even so it's still more than 10 books.

I'll probably try out new authors if the overall reviews are not bad, or if some of you here highly recommend it.

By the way, have you gotten your copy of Fall From India Place? I've just got mine this morning. But I haven't decided when to read it yet. There's another rather pricey book coming out next week that I really want as well (K.A. Tucker's Five Ways To Fall); hopefully the code will still be valid by then.

I'm with you... lately I've been thinking at least twice before purchasing any 'deal' by a new to me author if I see it is part of a series... sometimes I'm good, sometimes I'm not.

In the Romance Readers Reading Challenges GR group I am in there is one challenge where you create a shelf of books you want to read and then everyone else who is participating in the challenge picks books from that list for you to read... so I created a shelf of series that I had started but not gotten around to finishing. The point of the challenge is to read the list 'picked' for you over the next 2 months (about 18 books). It's great incentive! When this one is done, my list will be series I've never started that have been sitting in my TBR the longest.

I know I've mentioned it before but I have to say it again...I love this group on GR. There are lots and lots of different types of challenges and the thing I most enjoy is searching my library to find books that meet some of the categories of the challenges. This has helped me get to know what's in my library (around 3,000 books) believe it or not. It also gives me incentive to actually READ them
