My first reaction is that it's just okay & something I'll use occasionally, but I'm not going to complain about something additional they've added to something I've already paid for. Prime video started with just 5,000 movies & TV episodes and that's grown & turned out pretty good, I'll give this some time too.

I'm still waiting and seeing. I'm a Prime member. I like '50s and '60s jazz. The selection of that music is too small for anyone to be interested now. But I imagine they'll get better with time.

On IOS, is there any way to use the standard music player with this (can you download the MP3?)

I would rather not use a different app depending on the source of the music.

Giving away one million free songs is really irrelevant. We need choices customized by our prior buying choices.

That is what is wrong with Amazon videos as well. In contrast, Netflix gives us new recommendations for movies based on prior ratings of movies we already watched.

Amazon badly needs a Netflix type customization for songs and videos.

Some of the Prime "Rock playlists" are really excellent. Interesting music collections to last awhile while you get ready in the morning.

That is not unique to Prime Music. XBOX Music has similar issues even though they have a much much bigger catalog and are for pay. The studios simply refuse to license some tracks for streaming. (Except maybe Apple. I dunno there since I don't have appleware to test iRadio.)

Yep. Rhapsody is the same. What's even more annoying is when a compilation or reissue is out, and the label makes them deactivate certain tracks on the older albums, which breaks my playlists until I hunt down the version they want me to stream - which is usually the exact same track.

I'm listening to one of their 50 song rock playlists. I am already a prime member so I might as well take advantage of it. If I find that I'm using it more than Pandora I will cancel Pandora.

As for those of you who don't think they have enough music, just give them time, they just got started.

I was hoping PM would be more along the lines of Pandora where you could listen to stations by genre or build your own based on a song or a group. Instead, we get songs, albums, and greatest hits collections. Unfortunately for me and others, the stuff we listen to the most is totally missing.
