Unfortunately the unevenness of paperwhite is something too many tolerate. Mine doesn't have that problem I was lucky. Still the front lit part gave me migraines.

I'm really glad you turned me on to Scribd. It is exactly the kind of ebook service I'd been wanting for years. Right now they have all but the recent release in Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments series (which I am gobbling down like the cracktastic urban fantasy it is), the first 2 books from her next series, and 1 of her Bane Chronicles. I can get all the other books (except the one that came out in May--I'm going to buy that one, I feel Clare deserves that!) from the library, so I'm stoked!

I really liked her Clockwork series - set in the same world as MI but an earlier time period.

If it's one of those you need to login to browsers to connect. It's Chrome that is wonky. I used Dolphin and got connected every time.

I really didn't realize how the Paperwhite looked until I compared it to reading on a tablet. For some reason I've not read much on my Fire 2... maybe the weight (including the case)?

Amazon doesn't price match tablets, does it? Lookie what Staples has.

I just started the third book - The Sum of All Kisses. The second had been languishing on my TBR pile since it came out, but I've been trying to dig a bit deeper and read some of those "older" books. I enjoyed it, so I went right on to #3.

I took a look at the Nexus 7 online - does it not have an SD card slot? I found that really surprising.
