A lot of people also like FBReader and Cool Reader, but those are free. I was using the free version of Mantano, but ended up buying both Mantano and Moon+ Reader because I was in the same boat as you with the coins.

I also use Aldiko (handles drm'd books) and see a pro version I may get.

Sadly, none of these work on any of the Kindle Fire tablets... at least, not the Amazon purchased ones.

They work fine, you just can't load them through the app store. Have to sideload them after backing the apk up on another android device (or possibly Bluestacks).

Does anyone have a password manager recommendation? I want one that can be used for both Android and Windows 7 and keep both in sync.

I believe Last Pass can. I think it's $12 a year. You can't use coins for subscriptions yet but that not much for keeping yourself safe. Lass Pass seems to be the best and they are the ones who are always checking on sites that have been hacked. I don't use them though. I have my own crazy method of remembering passwords.

I thought Last Pass had in app purchases you could use coins for, but I guess I was wrong. I'm getting tired of resetting my passwords because I can't remember them.

You could try. I know I tried for Evernote last month and it too was in app purchase but it came out of my credit card because it's a subscription.

Don't they still check for licensing via Amazon? I had one or two I did that way and when they tried to check amazon licensing, there were problems (not the least that I wasn't in a wifi area at the time)

Otherwise, I'll spend my free coins on those, as I can transfer off my phone or one of the tablets I have (nook HD and Samsung), if the same apk will work.

AFAIK, yes they do occasionally check for licensing which is why I sideloaded backups of the Amazon versions (bought on same account as the Fire is on) as opposed to ones from Google Play. I first did this when I got my HDX at the end of November and have updated them via sideload a few times since. Haven't run into problems so far. Maybe Blossom can comment if she's had any issues as she's the one who pointed me in this direction.

As long as you are logged into the Amazon app store you will be okay. It doesn't use WiFi to check it goes by if you are logged in or not. Now on a Kindle Fire I have never had that error and I hardly ever use WiFi but may once or twice a week. It's only happen on non Fires when suddenly the app store updated and I had to relog in now the app store doesn't ever log you out. You can even uninstall and reinstall and it still remembers you. Kindle app is now the same way so is the MP3 app. So they have changed alot since then.

Just remember the app you sideload needs to on the same account as you bought it from. Like you can't buy a app on your Hubby's account then put it on your Fire which is on a different account. Well some apps you could but the ones who check for license it wont work.

I keep my method top secret so no one will ever figure it out. Ebay sent me a email saying mine password was reset. I read some people actually use the same email and password for eBay and PayPal! Not me.

LastPass is really good, I use it and pay for the premium so I can use it on my tablets too. They recently added the ability to fill passwords within most apps. Before, you had to switch between the LastPass app and whatever app you needed a login to do copy/paste. Now an overlay pops up from LastPass and lets you pick the login and copy/paste without leaving the app you're logging into. Doesn't work with Firefox on Android though.

It also lets you (I think it forces it now) set a PIN to unlock the app, so you can have it remember your main password but not have to retype it every time. Sadly the PIN is limited to 4 numbers.

Me too! As long as the site was properly hashing their passwords, there's not much chance my passwords will be cracked by bruteforce (since they're all long and random), but I still have to go change it because they screwed up. If it's a site I don't visit much, I sometimes don't bother and let the account rot.

KeePass is pretty good too, but the browser integration is kind of crappy. I use it for stuff I refuse to save to the cloud with LastPass (like online banking and other financial stuff) and just copy/paste from it manually.
