I tried to get this credit with a Subway Gift Card and it didn't work. It looks like the above restriction really means all gift cards sold by Amazon and not just Amazon Gift Cards.

I don't know if this is still how it works, but it can do a lot of stuff you don't want.

Install it long enough to get the credit and use it, uninstall it. That's what I plan to do.

Blossom, check and make sure the A/C unit is sold by Amazon. I was trying to order a different item and finally figured out that it didn't qualify because it was sold by Amazon even though it qualified for prime two-day shipping.

Yep it's sold by Amazon. I can't order it though till Monday when I will have enough. It's for our bedroom so we can sleep in it. The new apartment doesn't have central air just a TPAC air unit in the living room and it's super hot in Raleigh.

I tried to order something today from the iButton app and the $5 credit wasn't showing, so I called Amazon. After a very lengthy call, they finally added a $5 credit to my account; which I used on a non-1Button purchase for less than $25. Then I uninstalled the app. So much for that new program.

Using a promo credit like this almost always requires using the full cart.

Nothing in the offer says you use the button (just install it). Then, put stuff in your cart ($25 minimum) and check out slowly, to make sure the credit is there before finalizing the order.

I had to send them an email to get a $5 credit in my account, as with monkey. Purchase is made, app is gone.
