"Shapes" (circles around words) moving after conversion
Hi. I've created an eBook conversion using Calibre which I find came out quite good (took me around a dozen attempts with lots of tweaking of my Word doc). I used Word 2010 > Web Page > MOBI. My question is this; when I converted the Web Page to Mobi the circles I placed around certain words and symbols on my screen shots moved.
Is there some way to lock such objects in place? Thanks! Rich |

While not a circle:
Couldn't you use a Span with a border around the word Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<style>
.box { margin: 0 .1em;padding:.1em; border-color: black;
border-width: 1; border-style: solid;
}
</style>
<head>
<title></title>
</head>
<body>
<p> </p>
<p>Words in a <span class="box">box</span> if needed</p>
</body>
</html>

Not sure I understand the second suggestion. I'm doing screen shots of Word menus. You mean, import the image, put the circle in the right place, and do a second screen shot? Rich |
