Yes, but that would remove characters from the title page, too. People may want to keep that, but not have them in tags.

This excludes characters from tags while keeping them on the title page:

But nether does anything for the 'extra tags' Amalthia mentions.

Currently, FFDL puts all of AO3's 'freeformtags' and 'ao3categories' in genre as well as the site specific metadata lists. I'm beginning to think that may be a mistake.

Yes, thank you cryzed. Thank you, thank you, thank you. That was the one site I wanted. However, when I tried to make my own adapter from another efiction adapter, it had errors and I didn't feel like trying to fix them at the time. . .so really, thank you.

I just wanted to double check. If I wanted to exclude certain fandoms from appearing in the tag field in Calibre, would this code work?

@Amalthia, Yes that's how it should work in theory, but I'm not sure if "fandom" is a valid metakey. I think it should be "fandoms" (plural) and/or "category". I simply don't know these features as well as Jimm, so just try any combination of these and see what works for now.

EDIT: I just noticed that this would probably also remove it from the generated cover then...

Actually, adding 'Anthology' to tags for series books is currently hard coded. I'll need to make some changes to the system to make that configurable. Hopefully in the next couple days.

Attached is a test version of the plugin file with an adapter for http://spikeluver.com/. If you could thoroughly test it and report back if any errors occurred and for which stories that would be great. Also, if possible, see if any metadata is missing that should be there.

There's also a field that you can add to the titlepage if you want to: the review count. To do that edit your "personal.ini" via the FanFictionDownLoader Plugin menu in Calibre and add the following:

Same goes for you since the adapter code for http://voracity2.e-fic.com/ changed slightly. Everything should still work (I tested a few stories), but you now also can add the same section to your "personal.ini" if you want to, to display the review count on the titlepage.
