Go to "Account Details," then look at the bottom for your "Audio Purchase History." From that list it should be pretty to know what you bought with credits and what you bought with "$ credit." It also shows purchase date, so if you know what credits you got when, you can back into how much you used and how much you didn't.

I had not thought of that possibility! The first thing that I usually think of is that I goofed up, because that is what usually has happened. (haha)

I'll get on the phone and give Audible a buzz here in a little while. I just heard that the minimum wage in Seattle has been increased to the nation's highest--$15/hour--so the customer service reps should be in a very, very good mood. Maybe they'll throw in a few extra $100's in credits for good measure . . . .

Oh, if you don't see any posts from me for a while it's because I'm packing my bags to move . . . to Seattle.

I had my $5 credit last month wiped out when my email "buy 3 get $10" credit (which was spent) expired. I didn't bother then, but when the Avis one went poof this month I sent an email and they gave me back $6, which was my estimate of what was left of the Avis one.

Problem being that I already had some credit on the account before the avis one came in so it's hard to tell.

Only suggestion I can make is go back to before the first credit - all I know of so far this year has been $5 FB bonus, 4-for-$10 (or similar), and $10 Avis. That's all been in the last 2 months, so it should be at least possible. If not, that was my best shot.

Looks like I'll definitely be contacting them when looking through my previous transactions I discovered that they charged me $9.95 in April for Alaeddin and the Enchanted Lamp which was supposed to be the Free whisper sync book of the month. I would suggest everyone check their transactions

Ouch. I just checked and it shows $0.00 for me. They charged me full price for a sale audiobook last year and reversed it when I pointed it out.

That's another issue that I had, too. I had some credits before the $10 was applied.

How does Audible use the credits? First in, first out? Last in, last out? (I'm having bad flashbacks now from college accounting classes). On a proportional basis? Eeeny meeeny miney moe (sp?)?

I really have enough hassles in life to deal with that I don't want to have to start keeping a spreadsheet to keep track of Audible credits.

I've archived all Audible offers since late last year in this post -- Audible Offers

LearnOutLoud - Free Audiobook of the Month - exp 30 Jun

Quote:
The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin is a personal account of the life of the famous American statesman, businessman, philosopher, inventor and scientist. It is widely acclaimed as one of the greatest portraits of an American historical figure, and is all the more compelling due to the fact that it was written by the man himself. Here you will listen to stories of Franklin's early poverty, his rise to wealth through incomparable industry, and the direct stories of his relations, travels, and adventures. The story is not only that of one of the most famous men in American history; it is a tale of colonial life in a time just before the revolution, where men like Franklin were already defining what would eventually become the American character. This recording is narrated by Greg Houser.

Downpour Deal of the Week -- exp 09 Jun
Quote:
Winner of the 2011 Audie® Award

When Walter Hartright encounters a solitary, terrified, beautiful woman dressed in white on a moonlit night in London, he feels impelled to solve the mystery of her distress. Full of secrets, locked rooms, lost memories, and surprise revelations, The Woman in White features heroine Marian Halcombe and drawing-master Walter Hartright as sleuthing partners pitted against the diabolical Count Fosco and Sir Percival Glyde.

This gothic psychological thriller, a mesmerizing tale of murder, intrigue, madness, and mistaken identity, has gripped the imaginations of readers since its first publication in 1860. The breathtaking tension of Collins’ narrative created a new literary genre of suspense fiction, which profoundly shaped the course of English popular writing.

Downpour Bonus Offer -- exp 09 Jun
Quote:
The Ballad of Bob Dylan is a vivid, full-bodied portrait of one of the most influential artists of the 20th century—a man widely regarded as the most important lyricist America has ever produced.

Acclaimed poet and biographer Daniel Mark Epstein frames Dylan against the backdrop of four seminal concerts—all of which he attended: Lisner Auditorium, Washington, D.C., 1963; Madison Square Garden, New York City, 1974; Tanglewood, Massachusetts, 1997; Aberdeen, Maryland, 2009. Recreating each performance song by song, Epstein places them within the larger context of Dylan’s life, from his meteoric rise as a young folk singer through his reemergence in the 1990s and his role as the éminence grise of rock-and-roll today. He explores the star’s private side, including marriage and fatherhood, and his struggle to overcome substance abuse. Epstein also traces the influences that shaped Dylan’s career and offers a thoughtful analysis of his work and fresh interpretations of his lyrics. Here, too, are anecdotes and insights from those closest to the man, including D. A. Pennebaker, Allen Ginsberg, Nora Guthrie, Ramblin’ Jack Elliot, and Dylan’s sidemen throughout the years.

The above title is also available as a Whispersync pair from Amazon for only $0.99; but with different narrators. I picked this one up last month with part of my Buy 4, Get $10 credit.

So if you want this title, here's a way to save another $5

You can also get the exact audio version that's in the Downpour Deal of the Week as a Whispersync pair: $0.99 for a different Kindle version, then $2.99 for the audio. So even if you want the same narrators, the Whispersync pair is cheaper.

Last edited by Brendan Moody; 06-03-2014 at 07:45 AM. Reason: found cheaper Kindle version with the right Whispersync
