Blossom, good luck with your moving/settling in!

Those who are collecting Kristen Ashley, some of the books in Colorado Mountain are on sale for $2.99 [vs 3.99] at Amazon. So far I've noted; The Gamble, Lady Luck and Kaleidoscope. I think one of the Dream Man was reduced as well. [US site only so far, and not reduced at Kobo as of yet.]

All are reduced at Google. I think Amazon is price matching them.

It seems like a really great deal. But if you're going to buy the books just so you have the complete set in Calibre that's $20 that could be spent on other books.

No One To Trust (Red Stone Security #1) by Katie Reus

Quote:
Computer security specialist Elizabeth Martinez has never been able to turn her back on her brother Benny. When his risky lifestyle finally lands him in harm’s way, Elizabeth finds herself dragged into the dangerous underworld with him and into the cross hairs of one of Miami’s death-dealing drug lords. Only after her ex-boyfriend saves her does she realize she might have no choice but to depend on the one man she has tried so desperately to forget.

Former Marine Porter Caldwell never should have let Elizabeth walk away from him all those months ago. She means more to him than anything and now that she’s in danger and turned to him for help, he won’t make that mistake again. When a local gang targets her and she’s nearly killed in a drive by shooting, Porter vows to do whatever it takes to keep her alive. Even if it means turning his back on all that he’s sworn to uphold.

Length: 45,000 words
Red Stone Security Series, Book 1

When I missed it last time it was more like "good, I won't be tempted anymore". But DAAANG it's a good deal.

Thanks, GP is US sale price only.

But I do have a Kristen Ashley question for you collectors out there, is this the correct series reading order? [I know it's been said that the books are all more or less connected but wonder if that includes Fantasyland?] Here's the list I have;
Rock Chick
Dream Man
Chaos
Colorado
Burg
Fantasyland
Unfinished Hero

It can be a little hard to tell, since, for example, the last Rock Chick book takes place after the 4th Colorado book. And the 5th Colorado book takes place after the 1st Burg book. And definitely read Dream Man before Chaos since it's a spin-off series. I'd read Rock Chick first and decide where you want to go from there. Fantasyland is not connected at all, nor are any of her other books besides the first 5 series you listed above.

I wasn't at all sure about the last 2 series especially. I appreciate you explaining it.

ETA: FYI in case others were lost like me, this is from Kristen Ashley's site:

Quote:
As many of you know, my characters can show up anywhere so if you're starting from the beginning and want the full Kristen Ashley experience, I suggest the following reading order:

1) The Rock Chick Series (Now, this series is a definite first...BUT, I would strongly suggest reading The Colorado Mountain Series somewhere in this mix. You'll need to have read Breathe before you read the finale to the Rock Chick Series, Rock Chick Revolution to get the full impact of something. I shall say no more!)

2) The Dream Man Series

3) The Chaos Series/The Unfinished Hero Series

4) The ‘Burg Series

If you're really particular about getting the full experience, I suggest you make time to read For You of The 'Burg Series before you read Jagged of the Colorado Mountain Series. I know this sounds confusing, but it wasn't when I was writing them!

The rest of my books can be read in whatever order you like, however, Heaven and Hell would be more fun to read after the Rock Chicks, the Colorado Mountain and The 'Burg series are consumed.

If you’re new to my work, it should be noted that if you read one, you don’t get the same “feel” for all. For instance, The Rock Chick series is fast-paced and full of humor. There is emotionality to it but The Colorado Mountain Series and The ‘Burg Series are more descriptive, longer and more raw. The Dream Man Series is a spin-off of Rock Chick and follows that same vein but it’s a little deeper. The Unfinished Hero Series is like Dream Man but it is more erotic and it is important to note this series is about anti-heroes and anti-heroines, it is an exploration of those concepts so if that isn’t your gig, beware!

FWIW, I put up a shelf of the books I've read at scribd over at goodreads as well, in case you're interested. Most of the romance I've read so far is m/m right now, but it appears I've already read 22 books there...I don't know how much money they're making on me!

Well now I have to go and buy Colorado 2-4 since I'm closing in on Rock Chick #8. (I had RC #7 as my next KA to read). I had thought I was going to go to Dream Man after Rock Chick.

So I guess now my reading order will be Colorado 1-4 then RC 7&8 and then back to Dream Man. Sheesh! When I'm finished with all those then it will be 2017 and I can reassess.

You are going to town. I read 6 so far and stared the 7th. But I have to read on a heavy Fire HD 8.9 1st generation. It hurts my hands a bit holding it.
I am still struggling to find a 7 inch tablet I can afford and has great display for font.
Here is my Scribd shelf on goodreads.
https://www.goodreads.com/review/lis...h?shelf=scribd

I add books into it that I find on Scribd I want to read and are not available at my library or for free/rpime at the amazon store.
I am reading my first Simon and Schuster, they have some really nice titles.

I really think Scribd is a romance lovers dream.

Someone here answer a question for me since my brain is not working

I thought Shana Galen was a traditionally pub'ed author.

I noticed that The Pirate Takes a Bride by Shana Galen is on sale for $2.51 (not much off the regular $2.99 price. I looked at the paperback edition and it is published by CreateSpace. Has she went Indie?

I would guess that her publisher (Avon in this case) dropped the series or something and her fans wanted to read the conclusion. Based by all the glowing reviews on the Amazon page, it was a highly anticipated book.

Looks like she self published the conclusion of a series she had with Avon. The last of that series was back in 2007 and this is the 4th now in that series.

here is the story from her blog
Quote:
Years ago I began aseries titled Misadvantures in Matrimony. It was about four girls who formed a Spinster’s Club because they wanted adventures, not marriage. It was to be a 4-book series, and the third book was my favorite because it featured two of the girls and was based on the real-life story of an anvil priest in Gretna Green who mistakenly married the wrong couples to each other.

Here’s my Jaunty post about Blackthorne’s Bride, which ended up being nominated for a Rita award.

I always intended to write the fourth book, and I even began it, but I ended up changing publishers, and my new publisher wasn’t too keen on publishing the fourth book in a series they didn’t begin. So I put Nick and Ashley’s story away.
