Merline Lovelace is a retired USAF Lt Colonel. She's written a number of military romances, both contemporary and historical.

Christine Feehan's GhostWalkers and Rebecca Zanetti's Sin Brothers are both paranormal series featuring active duty military guys.

It was a good read. I had been looking at this series for a while as well. My sister is the one to tell me to listen to it. (I love my science fiction.) Then I have proceeded to listen to it again and again since. Only the first book is out as an audio, but I have bought the first 3 as e-books. Will start the 2nd book on Monday as I need to finish the Sandra Hill book and go see X-men today.

And I'm probbaly nuts, but even though I just finished rereading the entire series I reread Slave to Sensation again. I plan to fully re-reread all of the ones I like most and just skim the parts of the rest of the series where I didn't love the romance (and just read the rebellion stuff and the bits with my favorite characters). I figure another jaunt through the series will tide me over until June 3rd and Shield of Winter
