I'm just pleased to have managed to get enough 75% off codes to buy the books I had my eye on this month - thanks, zaphod42, for the final one! And of course, that the codes lasted long enough.

These contests are becoming regular enough for me to consider giving up some of my subscriptions - it will be cheaper to buy the individual issues, even with a 40% discount code. Oh - but I must check whether they're couponable. Or, indeed, available at Kobo!

What I do is to go as far as entering the promo code, but no further, until I've gathered all the books I want into their various tabs.

So, I select a book and then go through to the part where I enter the promo code.

Then I select another book and Open Link in New Tab, where I go through to the part where I enter the promo code.

Then select another book and go through the step above, and continue doing this till I have all the books that I want in their separate tabs with the promo codes entered.

Then I finalise each transaction, one at a time. And I wait till each transaction is completed before I finalise the next book, etc.

Is that what you do?
I did exactly the same thing as you (for two books) on Kobo South Africa and I got the Oops message on the second book. I stupidly tried again and got the same message...

BUT the second book is in my library (I've downloaded it) and there is no record of it in my purchase history. I received the receipt for the first book, but not the second. Credit card was deducted with the first book only and this was two days ago.

I'm hoping they don't double-debit me as I haven't used their customer services yet and am not looking forward to it.

@ukprog my guess is that you won't be charged for the book/s with the Ooops message either at all, or at least until whatever's broken gets fixed .....

My bad! Actually I was adding one book to the cart on multiple tabs which on checkout were getting consolidated. I was just been explained by a fellow member that I needed to click "buy" each of the tabs and then enter same promo-code on each tab.

Yep - you can multi-tab, or you can use the cart, but you can't do both...and if you want to reuse a code, multi-tab is your only option.

I today purchased 3 books by multi-tabbing using same promo-code but only one of the transaction was successful and other two came up with "Ooops message". I checked my library and all three books were available for download. I got receipt for only one successful transaction and that is how it is shown in my book purchase history, the other two books have not been charged at all.

With coupons so available, I'm reluctant to mess things up with muti-tabbing. Especially as Kobo seem to be trying to fix their web site to stop it working.

I've just been charged for the second book on my credit card, although it's still not in my payment history nor did I get a receipt.

Got charged twice for that one book though, so rang Kobo and they were very helpful. Had to send proof of the charge and I'm hoping to get a refund.

What a palaver! Still, I am very glad of the discount coupons. I'm just hoping the one code I'm holding on to lasts till next week when a new book is being released.

If anyone has an extra 75% floating around, I could put it to good use.

That's where I'm at. I already get a great deal and I just don't like mucking with things when something is working well or well enough!

Got a 30% off email from Kobo. Code is STOCKUP30. Long list of books by authors I'm not familiar with.

I did notice a dozen mysteries called the Deadly Dozen for $9.99. Don't know if they're any good but, I suppose at that price, it may be worth a try.
