@dandelion cottage what I found was that the latest purchases were at the bottom of the list. So last purchase head to the last entry.

But I supose someone else's may be at the top.

Can you display a date view of the file?

Well they are all kepubs. To find the one you want try this (hope it works for you - it worked for me):
* Open a DOS shell (Start/Run then type CMD and press enter)
Use these commands:
cd "C:\Users\myname\AppData\Local\Kobo\Kobo Desktop Edition\kepub"
find /i "think of a number" * > "c:\users\myname\My Documents\name.txt"
notepad "c:\users\myname\My Documents\name.txt"

where myname is your username
and replace the words think of a number with enough words in your title to match (the /i means ignore case so don't worry about capitalization but the text must be exactly the same)

This may take a few minutes depending how many files you have. When the notepad pops up scroll down till you see your title and the filename above it is the one you are looking for.

But the filenames don't matter when running obok (assuming that's the poster's goal). It will give you a list of titles to pick from.

I'm a kobo associate so I asked the guy who runs that to ask his marketing buddy and so far as they answered me, no, there is no "sign up." That doesn't mean there definitively isn't, but neither of them knew of a way to get notified reliably. I did suggest that they could email me...strangely that did not happen. Imagine that!

The file name is a GUID (Globally Unique Identifier).

I definitely got an email for this contest: "How much will you get today? Get 10%- 75% off + a chance to win a Kobo Touch!" I see at least one more of those in my inbox, so apparently I do get notified with at least some degree of regularity (I've probably thrown a bunch out, as well).

Looking at my account, I only see one option for signing up for emails, under "Email updates--Get info on the latest eBooks, offers, and app updates." I have it checked, so I guess you check that and you get whatever they have, including contest notifications.
