Unfortunately, it is a bug on the 3.3.0 firmware. The "Order series shelves" uses the "Date Added" sort. But, it is broken in 3.3.0.

First of all, thank you for your plugin.

Would it be possible to have a toggle on the kobo between fulł book page numbers and chapter page numbers?

Thanks for the update. That is quite disappointing. Is that same bug causing the shelves themselves to not be in order, or is that something else?

If you mean do it on the device without connecting to the PC and editing the config file, probably not. This needs code in the firmware to actually do it.

I do have plans for a config changing function in the plugin. The idea would be to allow changing some of the settings with a dialog rather than using an editor. It is mainly to be able to change the hidden settings or set values that the device UI can't set.

Feature request: Have ALL shelves orderable, not only those matchiong series.

Background: I have a larger collection of sci-fi novels belonging to a "universe", which split into cycles of 25 up to 100 books. I use a ud column to break those down and make browsing them in calibre easier. They don't show up in the ordering dialogue though...

That has been suggested before and I even started coding it. But, I got distracted by something else and when Kobo broke the "Date added" sort in 3.3.0, I didn't return to it. I'll probably return to it in the next little while. Unless some suggests a better function to add.

Some of these need some more explanation.

Firmware check and download

When this is turned on, the it will check for a firmware update once a day when the device is connected. The check uses the devices information to check for the firmware. But, there is a "early adopters" option to check using a different affiliate. This may report firmware is available earlier than with the devices option.

If a firmware update is found, you will be prompted with the version and whether to download it. When the download is complete, you will be prompted again about keeping the update and disconnecting to apply the update.

Finally, if update files are found when the device is connected, you will be prompted whether to keep these or not. If you choose not to keep the files, they will be removed.

The firmware check can also be started from the plugin menu.

The firmware upgrades are downloaded from the Kobo servers and copied to the .kobo folder of your device.

Hi David,

just login in, started Calibre today and updated your plugin now. It works. Wonderful!!!
All the annotations are visible now and can be read. Now I can copy them to Word, as in the other books, for later reference.
