Nope. By leaving that off, it affects all different metadata types. So if the title of a story was 'AU Teen Wolf (TV) Season 5' it would be changed to 'AU Teen Wolf Season 5'. Author name 'I only write Teen Wolf (TV)' to 'I only write Teen Wolf', etc.

There's a huge amount of custom output configuration.

If you just want to change CSS, the parameter you want is output_css.

Jimm, I'm just beginning to tackle the genre tags, so thanks very much for that solution.

I'm also attempting follow these instructions which integrate FFDL with Reading List.

But as I only update the metatags with "Update Calibre Metadata Only", it doesn't work automatically. Is there a work around or any chance this feature could be made to work with Update Metadata Only?


I was going through the list of supported sites, and it's nice to see so many archives alive and even active. They seemed to be on the decline a while back, especially with the emergence of AO3 and tumblr. But now many people have ereaders, and something like FFDL could push new life into smaller archives. I know I haven't really looked beyond the AO3/LJ stronghold in a long while, but FFDL is changing that.

Anyway, I'd like to nominate rockfic.com for inclusion into the list of supported sites.

I don't understand the question. What makes 10+ tags? And what is it you want done differently?

SpuffyRealm is on the 'under consideration' list. New site development isn't very active anymore. I burnt out on making new adapters a long time ago, and I haven't heard anything from the other devs on the project in a long time.

Buffy Summers, Humor, Spike/Buffy Summers, Willow Rosenberg, Season/Series 04, Jossed, Spike, my early fic, Xander Harris, Buffy the Vampire Slayer

I was wondering if there is any way to boil it down? to just the genre Buffy: The Vampire Slayer ?

That issue was just addressed a few days ago.

Also, when ever possible, please include story URLs that exhibit whatever problem or issue you're having.

You have an extra space in front of include_subject_tags. Removing that space should fix it.

Hmmm. I forgot that the AO3 adapter puts the free form tags and ao3 category tags into 'genre', since AO3 doesn't have anything called genre. Sorry about that.

But that doesn't matter because what you really want is category AKA 'fandom' on AO3:

I copied it from my personal.ini where I tested it and it worked.

Are you sure you're updating the book? What happens if you add it as a new book instead?

If all else fails, you can post your whole personal.ini (or PM it to me) with passwords removed and maybe I'll see something in it.
