I apologize for the error in terminology, I should have said "energy constructs" (which, referring to Green Lantern, is what they call their power ring generated items). In one JLA story, they did use hard light to create constructs that were an evil version of members of the Justice League.

BTW, the energy used by Green Lanterns (and the other Lantern Corps) is energy collected from the emotional spectrum from every living individual in the universe and converted into usable energy. Green energy comes from will and is the most balanced of the emotional spectrum since it is in the middle. The energy collected from the extreme ends of the spectrum (red and violet) tend to take control of the user.
