Oh these are former Zebra Regency Romance for 99 cents! That's a great deal!

The Wedding Wager is also 99 cents and is a backlist title. I bought all 3.

I don't need to buying anything right now!!! I leave for Raleigh in a few days and hope by this time next week everything will be well and we'll have found an apartment and have internet again. Can you believe application fees now days? 99 a person that's $200 you do not get back so we are being very selective. Need good thoughts and well wishes that we find a place and don't waste money.

Really? I have over 8000 in my romance genre library. I will never read everything but a person can never have to many books. Right??

I know no one with Starz, and shoot if I couldn't convince hubby to get HBO for the GoT addiction how the heck will I convince him to get Starz? Boohoo. Wonder how long it'll take to come out on DVD?

For those that have the Scribd trial subscription, there are 7 Linda Needham titles available, including those 2 listed above.

Earlier today I did some sifting through the listings on scribd again and found some more back list titles and authors. So far I am finding a lot of those kind that aren't in either the regular library or going free anytime soon. Still working my way through the historicals right now, haven't started on the contempo romance stuff yet. That category is a bit more difficult as a lot of the serial and short erotic is stuffed in there, just like on Amazon.

And just to add to all the others, this thread has been a happy place for me. It also is here where I figured out how to do some stuff in calibre. I am not versed in geek or calibre speek so much of that forum sounds like greek to me. Blossom and everyone else that helped me puts it in regular terms for me.

I am also still waffling over getting the Nexus 7 for my Scribd subscription. Looks like I will continue keeping the subscription even after the trial, given that all the publishers and authors and titles I have found so far are still in the program. That is a must for me.

Does your provider sometimes offer some 3 month free offer thingy for the premium movie packages? Mine does, but I already have them. Oddly enough because we have phone/internet/TV all with the same place, its not cheaper for me to cancel the premium movies which include HBO and Starz. We wanted to cut back a bit, but it really didn't save any money for us going away from the big package to the lower end. I think its a $10 difference. For that I rather have the option to watch HBO/Starz etc.

So see if your provider maybe has such a offer and take it closer to august.

Dear Moderator - please leave this group as it is now. The "deals" listing is how I found this romance group. Since I only read a two specific types of romances - either a suspense or humorous book, I just skip over the other book listings. I may be fairly new to this group, but they have been so welcoming and helpful. I enjoy the posts about their lives, ereaders, and tablets. I am happy to have found these romance readers.
