Perhaps it needs pointed out that our discussions are generally related to the romance deals and freebies in the sense of the use of calibre or your laptop or reader or whatever in best finding or organizing our deals and freebies. That would be the definition of a resource to me.

And it is not our fault that there is a dearth of freebies and even deals at the moment.

It would be sad if we could no longer have our little thread. It has always been a thread where we could discuss anything romance related as it's SAFE in here.

If you want to move our thread I'm okay with it as long as we can post books we find in it which is 95% of our posts they may not be deals or freebies but they are books we buy. Currently there is no forum on MR that fits this type of thread. It's not recommendations because we haven't read the books and it's about book buying so where do we fit?

Sure there is some Off topic conversation but it directed at people who are regular posters of this thread that understand Romance books and how we organize and read them.

I for one would be very sad to see this thread change.

That's a good way to put it. No other genre gets more flack or misunderstanding than we do. People have a wrong perspective of Romance it gets called porn, bodice ripper or people just want to cause issues because we read a certain genre. You never see this with Sci-Fi or Mystery or Urban Fantasy even but Romance readers have been picked on too many times by the media by bloggers and even by people here. This thread has been a safe haven for us. Please let it continue.

Same here. I take what I can use and leave the rest behind. But whether any Romance thread post is useful to me or not, they all contribute to the atmosphere of warmth, safety, and caring more evident in this thread than any other. I also hope that the moderators will decide that this thread, just as it is, serves a purpose valuable to those who visit here daily and should be left alone.
