I should've got that one. There's a chain of pubs here called "The xxxxxx and Firkin". I used to frequent one called " The Fleece and Firkin" in Bristol back in the day.

I thought a Firkin was an obsolete term, hence the difficulty.

There are a number of pubs in the Midlands (where I live) called something and Firkin, once owned by the Burton on Trent Bass Brewery (where I used to work).
