Sorry, I checked the .com website and it came up as free, but it seems to recognize that I am in Canada (where it still is free). I think that 99 cents is the standard price as the list price in Canada is $1.02.

It showed as $.99 for me in the US store. That's OK, downloaded it anyway. And used some of my $10 coupon on Audible to get the WhisperSync for Voice version.

This should be a perfect workout book.

Amazon local has a coupon for the first three months of membership at $1.95 per month, regular membership rate to apply thereafter. The coupon must be redeemed by May 23. It says valid for new members only, but I gather that's a MMV situation.

I tried this one and was unable to apply it. I think the one a few months ago was probably a fluke, but I will keep trying.

Today's Audible deal is The Weight of Silence, by Heather Gudenkauf, for $3.95. I listened to this a few weeks ago, and recommend it if you like suspenseful domestic-type stories. Each individual chapter is the account of a different character (and has a different narrator).

I think you'll like it. This is a good introduction to the Liaden Universe. There's lots that's gone before, and plenty to come after, but it starts out off the main story line of the Korval clan, so you can easily start here. Of course, you're likely to get hooked and have a whole lot of other books to read, but that's a good thing, right?
