i agree with you neko. but i believe in another interview he said he wanted to leave while he was still having a great time and bringing a lot to the character, and that if he didn't leave now they would have to pry the key to the tardis from his cold, dead hand. so i suppose he feels like he's currently at the apex of his career as the Doctor and that's the best time to leave. i do understand the idea and respect him for it, even though i also wish he would stay. then again, i still regret christopher eccleston, so i'm a bit refractory to the whole regeneration thing to begin with. |

Granted. You are now reflective instead of refractive. I wish I had 100 more years of every day, just like today. Cool (low 70's), brilliant blue sky, wonderful autumn day. But add in every day being a paid day off to spend just enjoying being alive for 100 more years. |

It seems unlikely to me that we'd ever get a female Doctor. It would be interesting to have another older one, though.

Whales? You want us to discuss whales? Um... I wish hijacked Romulan Birds of Prey really would show up and menace whale hunters who are trying to harpoon humpback whales.

Granted. But them whale hutners are tougher than they look, and they harpooned themselves a nice Bird of Prey with a tractor beam to pull in whales. Ain't technology great? Oh yeah, loved Tom Baker. I saw the whole series on PBS, from the scattered fragments of the first episodes, have those on videotape. In fact, the original docs were cranky old coots, but each one seemed to get slightly younger. I also liked the one who was stranded on earth and drove around in the cute yellow car. He was involved with UNIT, which makes it neat that Martha Jones ended up in UNIT also. Nice way to tie up the loose ends. I wish I had a piece of chocolate cheesecake. I still wish everyone in the United States of America had their own good job that they loved to do, received good salaries and benefits for it, and did not have to leave/retire/get fired until they were ready to do so.

I wish I had an endless supply of good quality, free chocolate, without any of the "Magic Porridge Pot" type problems.

"Magic Porridge Pot" problems? Meaning when all your neighbors want to steal your source of chocolate? Or meaning that it constantly bubbles over and you drown in chocolate? Or were you just thinking of the impact it would have on the lives of children currently forced to pick cocoa beans if the chocolate market crashed?

I was thinking of the drowning in chocolate... but as my brain has clicked into gear I shall say I meant all of the above! |

I wish DixieGal a very happy birthday indeed. And I dare anyone to try and corrupt that wish, because we only have one birthday each per year. |
