I just did as I always do... I disregarded the numbers, and read the words instead. The answer jumped right out at me. Sometimes there is an advantage to being dyscalculiac!

With that in mind, let me pose a question...

Ants... Pesky little critters that they are... an numerous too!
For each person on the planet there are X number of ants. Solve for X

No, no.... In this case 'X' represents a rather large number. I'm too number-numb to be able to use it an any underhanded way. And Orlok, you can't really 'work' this one out. Unless you know the average weight of one ant, the population of ants across the globe, and the number of people alive today, rounded off the nearest 3 or 4.

This number is so large that actually the weight of all the ants together just about equals the combined weight of all the humans on the planet... give or take a few.

X= If we divided up all the ants equally, how many would each human get?

Nope! The actual figure (at least according to the quiz website I happened to see the other day) is:
1.5 million ants per person.
