I'm not sure if it's even possible. You can't do it with the internal memory Aura (nonHD), so I imagine it's the same with the internal memory touch. I made sure to get a touch with the coloured back the second time. Those have internal micro-sd cards and are easy to setup. I'm happily running Android on mine. There are black back touch's out there with internal microSD cards as well, but I believe all of the coloured back ones have it. I would not advise messing with your touch. Mine (nonSD) is in the trash. Jim |

Just found my box. I was thinking it was with the product number and the serial number, But it is part of the FCC id. The Glo doesn't have an FCC id on the box, so it might not be a reliable way

I am definitely liking this setup. One bug so far - it's with the Play Store. Sometimes I can download apps, but more often I get either the dreaded 921 error or an error connecting with the server. I installed Amazon Appstore and that has been flawless so far. The thing is that I have a few apps I purchased, like Instapaper, that I would like to have on my Aura HD setup. Any ideas on how to proceed? I know I can get the apks through my Nexus 7, but I was wondering if this error could be fixed. Thanks!

Well, after emptying data and cache from Play Store and Google Services Framework more than once yesterday and getting nowhere (just a change in what error I had in Play Store), today, Play Store now works. It now knows which apps I have purchased, and I can download them or new apps, or update current ones, with no errors. This may not last long, so I took advantage of the opportunity and downloaded the apps I wanted to have on my Aura HD (mainly reading-centered apps). Gmail even syncs automatically now.
I also decided to experiment and try Zeam Launcher. It looks a little cleaner to me, and everything seems to run just a hair faster (or maybe it's me). |

Any success running Android on the Kobo Mini? I've tried, but I get no response from the Kobo when I try to turn it on (this doesn't happen when I use the original Kobo SD card). Could someone mod the Kobo Touch img and do what's needed to at least make Android work on the Mini?

A question: what the creator of fix-udev changed in Kobo udev?

Excuse me, I have another (and more practical) question: can I create two partitions, an etx4 for root and a fat32 for data, or I have to use a unique fat 32gb fat32 partition? EDIT: excuse me, I just realized that it's the image of the whole disk, not of a partition.

Ok, I can't dual boot. Instead of booting Android, a factory reset is performed as usual.
This is what I've done step by step. I:

Mh. I don't know why I skipped it. Too much computer and stress, I guess. Thank you

There was an attempt, that started at this thread (message 92 and onwards), but since I don't own a Mini, I didn't follow it ...

I have to admit is somewhat exciting to have Android on an e-ink display (if you're a geek like me
![]() 1. too much graphic 2. too much scrolling Kobo interface is more simple, with few images and "black on white" as much as possible. Furthermore page turning is the standard way to "scroll" contents. Anyway the fact that Tolino ported Android on an eink display and created a new GUI interface is admirable. Thank you guys for adapting it to Kobo devices ![]() |
