7) William Faulkner?
PS It should have been Robert Benchley not Peter, not that it matters. |

I'm still puzzled about Ratty. I looked up my copy and it says, where Mole first meets him:

ETA: Sorry - should have googled first - I see the Water Vole is informally called a water rat. We do have water rats, hence my confusion. Last edited by Bookpossum; 04-15-2014 at 04:53 AM. |

Thanks, Orlok! We don't have voles (or moles, come to that), and I'd always naively thought Ratty really was a rat.
PDurrant, Glorfindel or Bookpossum, if you could take the quiz that would be great. |

Ok. But beware, I'm a major history geek, so the questions will all be history-related.
Okay? Give me a few minutes ... |

I don't mind history (although that doesn't necessarily mean I'll know any of the answers!).

Question 6. Which British monarch was on the throne at the beginning of the 20th Century? Question 7. The Magna Carta was published by the King of what country? Question 8. What is the disease that ravaged and killed a third of Europe's population in the 14th century known as? Question 9. What country was Adolf Hitler born in? Question 10. Which city was the capital of the Ottoman Empire? |
