'You' wouldn't know from the video, but 'I' recognize the places where these foreigners were partying... It's two of Chiang Mai's Red Light streets... Thankfully we don't see behavior like theirs all around the city. The Thais don't behave this way, and frankly, neither do the resident ex-pats. These guys represent the typical sex tourist who come to Thailand, and no one appreciates their coming other than the bar girls...

While it IS a wild and wooly water fight all over town (actually, all over Thailand,) the Thais tend not to get quite so rambunctious, remembering that it really is a religious holiday. If you keep away from the bar scene areas, it's a fun way to cool off in the 40-45 degree weather we are having now.

Here's another video, this time NOT shot by a bunch of drunks. A bit more refined? You can easily see the difference...

Yeah, better. But still not anything I feel the need or desire to see or be a part of.

As for the sex tourists - that's a discussion for a different venue or forum, I suspect, but I'm at least glad that Canada will actively prosecute any of ours that go there looking for the underage sex trade.

Lion Mountain Keemun. I'm nearly out, I really need to get down to my mailbox in the States. There's a pound of it waiting there for me.

What surprises me most is how robust the GoPro is! To fall that distance and keep on working after impact! Even the boar was surprised!

I bet the jumper was real happy! I bet he thought about giving it chase. Wonder if he jumped out after it and tried to guess where it landed, or just thought "now way that going to survive" and gave up on it.
