Do they even have Chapters/Indigo stores in the U.S.? I thought it was only in Canada. So it would make sense that U.S. customers don't have that option.

My whinge for the day: It really annoys me that there is no direct link to your Library from the purchase confirmation screen. Surely I am not the only one who likes to go straight to their library after purchasing a book?

No, it's in Canada. But they will sell gift cards online to US customers. Since Kobo no longer does it was the only way to get a gift card online since I do not have a Frys anywhere near me to buy a physical gift card.*

* I now make my brother who live in Las Vegas get them for me

Sadly Kobo no longer sells geft cards direct. You can buy an electronic gift card from Chapters/Indigo (it takes around 6-24 hours for them to email you with the nunber and PIN number (it's not automatic, but processed by a person). The only catch is you have to have old checkout on Kobo to use it. But I've used mine for a while now with no issues.

Otherwise if you have a Frys near you, you can buy physical giftcards for Kobo. They are the only place which still sells them. Best Buy used to but no longer does.

Kobo's website says they are selling gift cards now. Does it not work? Crud, never mind. When I signed in, it says they weren't available. Must only be in CA.

Yes, the old checkout showed you your purchase and if download was an option, the link was on that page. The new checkout requires you to go to your library to download, but doesn't provide a link.
