I noticed yesterday that the C.M. Hebert-narrated version of Little Women--one of the 99-cents-after-buying-free-Kindle-book titles--is missing Chapter 27 and doubles up on Chapter 28. Both my downloaded file from a few months ago and the streaming audio from the Audible site had the same defect. I called Audible about this yesterday and the agent took a report.

If you bought this title, you might want to check. And maybe also call Audible?

How annoying, Catlady. I remember having a book where that happened and I managed to get to that chapter just as I was getting in the car for a longish trip. NOT a time I could comfortably switch to eBook format.

Well looks like this offer is just in time, I just noticed the following notice pop up You "You can only keep 6 credits at once. Be sure to use one before 04-09-14"
Does anyone know or what? what happens if I don't use one before the 9th? Please tell me they don't remove credits but keep charging you the monthly amount??? surely not

If you exceed the maximum allowed saved credits for your particular plan you start losing them...

6 max for Gold and 12 max for Platinum, been that way since they went to the current plans years ago.

But I paid for them it's not right for them to just take them away If that's the case I will be spending all 6 getting my $10 reward and cancelling

Well yeah I hear you and I'm not sure what the rationale is, but they could be like some other membership places and make you use the credit the month it's issued or lose it (which IIRC is the way they used to do it).

Credits are ways to obtain books at a far lower cost than just buying them. In consideration of that savings, there are certain rules attached. Sounds like you signed up without knowing what you were signing up for.

You want something legitimate about complain:

You could just give someone money, which is good anywhere and forever, and a note, but instead you're expected lock your money up so it can't be used any where else, and if you don't use it, the company just takes it, and the only consideration you get in return is a worthless, disposable piece of plastic with the store's name on it.

I got an email, last time they ran this in February I wasn't offered it so I'm glad I was this time.

Every April they run this promotion. You don't have to use credits, you can even buy reduced price Whispersync matching audiobooks or daily deals, as long as the regular price is > $14.95.

Thanks for the heads-up. It looks like this may be available to us non-member pleabs as well. Think I'll IM customer service and find out for sure before I start Whispersyncing.
