Checking in.

I bought alot of books this week! The first two I paid for and the rests came out of the settlement credit minus the tax.

I read:

The Defiant Hero by Suzanne Brockman. (2 stars) I thought the book was horrible but I enjoyed Eve and Ralph's story. The heroine was stupid, the hero cried way too much for a Navy Seal. It just wasn't believable. The secondary couple I am withholding my judgment on the female, she seems like a totally B but I don't know her backstory so I will wait on that. Sam well I love him. He's probably my favorite so far.

Why only one book this week? I've gotten addicted to Candy Crush Saga. So I spent alot of reading time playing it on my Kindle Fire.

I am reading Over The Edge by Suzanne Brockman. So far much better than the previous book. I plan to start Unwound tomorrow when hubby is at work and I can devote my full attention to it. So today I am trying to get as much cleaning done as possible.

I am in a bit of a reading slump. Or something like that. I only managed to finish one book this week.
An Unwilling Bride by Jo Beverley.

Now I did much better with the buying of course. Using the settlement money. Only one on this batch not coming out of that money is the Duran title, that was a pre-order so it came out of my gift card.

LOL, just don't turn into one of those people who spends $200+ a month on it. I'm on level 267 right now. I did spend $.99 once, but other than that I've kept from spending anything on any in app purchases.

I spent $2 so far. Once on boosters I got 6 instead of 3 sale and then I didn't know I had to pay to unlock more levels and it was super late at night so I cave and spent another 99 cents but I don't plan on spending anymore. Unlocking levels though you need three friends for free right?

Wow, I've got a friend in the 400's, but that's the furthest. I don't play daily, maybe once or twice a week I'll play two or three sets of lives plus extras from friends. I've kind of lost interest though and don't do it as much anymore. My $.99 was an Amazon credit too from free coins. I've played their Farm Hero saga a bit too.

Now I wonder if I should even bother to keep playing Candy Crush on my Fire. I have neither "friends", no clue how or where, nor do I have facebook. Can I even play this game without having to pay? If not I'll pass now before playing more.
I am not into social type games since I don't have a social network. But they never tell you those things beforehand.

How do you get past Level 35 without buying something? I haven't spent anything either, but I got some kind of message saying I had to buy something, so I quit playing. It sure is addictive. Heard about it on this board btw.

Just read further. I don't have game friends, don't think it is linked to Facebook, so quest levels? And where are they?

Way off topic but I couldn't resist piping up to confess that I'm a candy crush addict. I have never purchased anything and have been playing since last June currently on Level 350 in the standard world and Level 122 in the candy crush dreamworld.
I have mine connected to facebook so I can ask friends for tickets to the next level or for extra lives.
