About four months ago, this same refurb 2012 Kindle Fire HD was offered by Amazon for $95.20 as a trade-in replacement for my failed original Kindle Fire (I think it got overloaded with content, and the only suggestion on the web was to pull out the battery). I had to mail in my original Fire. So this seems a good deal.

Also, I love it compared to the original Kindle Fire. Love the original standing leather case for it, too ($25, linked above by tubemonkey).
