Well, some of them have had an easier time getting admitted to kitty heaven. Warren and Roan lost their mama and had an awful case of ringworm when I found them, but after a few months of treatment, they got over it. They are completely healthy and happy now.

I do try to make things as nice as possible for them as I can. It's partly because they don't go outside that I do whatever I can to give them a really enriching experience inside. So, we have our monthly vanilla ice cream and nip party, the oversized cat towers, large scratching posts, several nice wicker kitty bunk beds, and the cat porch.

I just finished converting the stove top (which I never use) into a nice place for them to lounge. In a pinch, I can remove the cover and use the stove ... but really, the propane stove and oven are used about once a year if that. I mostly use the electric oven and the microwave.

At some point, I'll post a photo. I really like the way it came out.

Hey Ricky, is there some place that the cats allow you to be in your house?

Kitties are not allowed in the guest room (unless invited by a guest), in the office, or in my shop.

Other than that .... the whole house is theirs. I spend most of my waking time in the office or the shop.

Ah, well, they live better than most cats, and better than a lot of people, but not better than everyone.

Neko, just when I think I have you figured out, you go and prove how much more there is to learn about you! Critical Injury class? For yourself or for a classroom project? I learned that the hard way! (The joke around the office is that I do all of my own stunts.)

My Vent & Rant for Today
I have begun to hate eBay. This is the 3rd time in a row that I've won something, paid, and when the item never arrives, I find that the seller disappeared. Paypal is great, but the time wasted and inconvenience of getting refunded is not worth the hassle. Never again.

I fear there will be an ever-increasing problem with this. I bought a digital camera a few months back. It stopped working about the same time that the seller stopped existing. I buy through Amazon, mostly becasue they are Hell on wheels with those who scam their buyers.

Ha ha. You probably think you're being funny. Actually, this is probably a lot funnier than you meant it to be. In fact, I think I will start calling this the "Critical Injury" class.

Sorry to hear about your eBay woes. I've had pretty good luck with my few purchases, but I'm rather picky about not buying from people unless they've been selling for a while. I suppose that's no guarantee either.

i've also had relatively good luck with ebay, although i did recently purchase a pair of boots which never turned up, and the seller never answered a single one of my emails. luckily paypal reimbursed me. i usually try to stick to sellers who have a reasonably high feedback number, and check for negative posts.

Thank you!! I *thought* you were saying that the cat porch and all might not be true .... and I thought .... huh?? Look out at the cat porch ... look at the cat towers ... ok .... so does she think I imagined all that stuff??

Now I see what you were saying. And, I just fixed my TIVO!!! Hooray!! I thought I might have shorted out the front circuit panel (there was a teensy little electrical fire ... ummm .... oops), but it's working just dandy now.

So, now I'm a semi-expert in repairing the Humax DVT800 and DVT400 models of TIVO box. Hotchacha .... and SHE SCORES!!
