I had a shopping spree last night. Found my credit by accident, $82.01 and bought 12 books mostly from my wish list! Mainly the more expensive books. So much fun except for the headache I have today from staying up too late reading book blurbs and making decisions. Why I felt I had to use it up all at once I don't know. But I sure love what I got.

I'm going to savour mine. Nothing I need right now. I do have wishlist but I changed my reading patterns so much you could say it's outdated. I don't have the energy to go through and redo it. So right now I just buy something when it catches my eye.

I want to take some of my settlement money and buy the Marcia Evanick books which are only on sale at Amazon and B&N. To be bad or be good and pay bills since most of mine will be in check form...

Thank you! I am just relieved hubby is home. He stopped by the local Walgreen's (That's a American chain drug store open 24 hours) to pick me up a greeting card on his way home for work. The cops were there someone has just minutes before tried to rob the place!

I can only thing what could have happen had he been in the store. My hubby's a big guy and prior military he probably would have tried to do something.

The clerk is okay and the guy ran. No one was hurt. *phew*

OK - I found it. I followed Blossom's instructions for checking if a book is eligible for Settlement credit, and there is a link to check your balance. But I couldn't find anything in my Amazon Account. Oh well.

I finally figured out how to look the B&N credit on this page:

You need to enter your settlement ID (from their e-mail) and zip code. Then it opens up in a new window that lists the titles. Because they can't just let you look it up easily like Amazon, on a single page based on your account. They have to do things the B&N way.

Anyway, I got around $32.85 from Amazon, and ... closer to $140 from B&N. Dang, I guess my mother was right. I really do buy too many books...

I looked at my existing pre-orders on Amazon and I saw the following message:

Any applicable gift certificate and promotional balances will be applied to this order on release date.

So I assume that means the pre-orders will be taken out of my credit.

Amazon's pricing on pre-orders still confuses me. For example I have the book From the Charred Remains (Lucy Campion Mysteries) by Susanna Calkins on pre-order. On the list of Pre-orders on the MYK page the price shows as $12.92. Then when I click on the order summary for that title it says it's $10.67. When I look at the product page as it is today it's $11.04. I wonder if you automatically get the lowest price when you pre-order--does anyone know?

I've just purchased Sidney Sheldon's If Tomorrow Comes with that credit. That'll be a fun re-read... if I ever get around to it.

Loved the mini series from a million years ago (back in a Tom Berenger obsession mode).
