update daily news papers in mobi or epub format,
such as The New York Times , Wall Street Journal and so on !

calibre can download the news from many news websites using community-maintained recipes, convert them to epub/mobi/azw3 and sideload them to your reader -- or email them to you.

An increasing number of news sites these days, though, are behind "pay-walls" (I believe the "New York Times" is), so in those cases you'll still need a subscription to the site concerned to be able to generate the Calibre version of the newspaper.

Indeed, to get the newspaper regardless will require a subscription, but calibre will then provide the recipe to login and download as an epub/mobi/azw3.

You might check your public library. Mine (Ottawa Public Library) now offers members online access to several full-version dailys, which I find that I can comfortably read on an 8 inch tablet. I can't download the newspapers. Reading is done via html, and is restricted to some maximum number of simultaneous readers, so I occassionally have to wait for access. That doesn't happen very often.

I have a digital subscription to the Ottawa Citizen. The nice thing is that when I want to go "on-the-go" I can export issues as epubs and put them on my Kobo.

Interesting. I still have a home delivery subscription, but now frequently just read it via PressReader thru the library. I'll have to check that out. Thanks very much for the info.
