And it was good, but the names do get wearing. Even after seven volumes I'm still not used to them. Still, I'm looking forward to the next one, even if I probably won't get to read it until sometime in 2015, or even 2016.

Thanks for the warning, but it arrives 60+ years too late!

Those were two of my favorite Heinlein books when I was young. I think I will have to read them again since I was in my twenties the last time I read them.

I'm reading the latest Crown of Slaves spinoff in the Honor Harrington series, Cauldron of Ghosts. These are "co-written" by Eric Flint and David Weber, but from the tightness of most of the writing, it's pretty clear who wrote which sections. As expected, I'm enjoying it a lot.

Next up when I finish this will likely be the Heinlein in this month's Baen Bundle - Waldo and Magic, Inc. I haven't read these since my teens, and that was a long, long time ago. Looking forward to it, though I do expect some things to be a bit dated.

Never say I'm not subject to peer pressure!

I saw the hardback version of The Martian in our local supermarket today on offer and picked it up. It's next on my TBR list after I finish the third book in Malcolm Mackay's Glasgow trilogy.

Although not a Harry Potter Fan and not a fanfiction fan I thought this was amazingly well done and funny.

Methinks we should consider a new thread to discuss it, given the number of concurrent readers. Actually, sounds like an idea for a new feature in MR - book club!
