No need to, you've already bagged it.
10 Edgar Used to watch Last Night at the Proms on Swedish tv, but I can't remember his full name, but I loved it when the attendees started to curtsy when the intro started. Edit; Is it Elgar? Now I'm not even sure of the spelling. |

I really ought to know the first one. The only name that comes to mind is Mendelssohn, but I have no idea if it's right. [EDIT: No, it isn't. I should have got it!] |

Who composed the following popular classical music pieces?
1. Air ‘On The G String’ J. S. Bach - Bilbo1967 2. Rhapsody In Blue Gershwin - pdurrant 3. Nessun dorma 4. Ode To Joy Beethoven - pdurrant 5. A Little Night Music Mozart - pdurrant 6. Bolero Ravel - pdurrant 7. 1812 Overture Tchaikovsky - pdurrant 8. Hallelujah Chorus Handel - pdurrant 9. The Ride Of The Valkyries Wagner - pdurrant 10. Pomp And Circumstance Elgar - Kumabjorn Pretty much there apart from #3. pdurrant - 7 Bilbo1967 - 1 Kumabjorn - 1 A case of the early bird catching the worm, I think... I'll let the others have a go at #3, but clearly pdurrant is the winner. |

Seeing as though we've already got a Mozart and it's sounding operatic, I'll go with.
3. Nessun dorma - Puccini? Disappointed I didn't see the question earlier I knew all the others. |

Ok, here's a letters/language question.
One point for each letter of the Latin alphabet for which you can give me an English word where the given letter is silent. By 'silent' I mean that the pronunciation of the word would be the same with the letter removed (although that might mean the word was misspelled). So by my rules, the E in "sine" isn't silent (despite what many are told), as sin is not pronounced the same as sine. But the P in Psychic is silent. No points for any other P words. |

Sorry, Bilbo,my last edit was done after you'd posted, I think. But the two I added were for I and T, so didn't cross-post with yours.
