Size of SD card Kobo Aura
I have two SD cards, a 16GB and a 32GB. The 32 comes from my Nook HD which I am giving to a freind for games. I am thinking of swapping the 16 in my Aura and putting in the 32. Will the Aura work okay with a 32?
I know the manual says it will but will it function just the same with the 32 as it did with the 16. I just wondered if it was a bit large. Thanks |

Manual says will work with 32GB CD cards. I do not understand reluctance to try using the 32GB SD card you already have. It will cost nothing, if it doesn't work put old working card back in and it will again work. I have never seen using SD card damaging a computer. If you remove SD card while computer is writing to the card it will corrupt the card requiring reformatting the SD card. People that bought bad one just have to replace with good one.

Quick note
I had an issue getting my Kobo to read the 32 GB card to the point where I almost bricked the thing in trying to reset the device to factory settings. Basically, any time I tried to load the 32 GB card or write books to it, my Kobo would freeze and I'd need to paperclip reset it.
According to the specs, https://www.kobo.com/koboaurahd/techspecs/, the Kobo's capacity is "4 GB Option to expand up to 32 GB with a Micro SD card", which, on a hunch, suggested that maybe it meant that Kobo's total capacity was 32 GB, not 36 GB. So I repartitioned the SD card to use only 20 of its 32 GB capacity and now it works perfectly. I'm reluctant to push it to 28 GB for now but I'll report when I do. |

There should be no issue (especially as long as the card is not full to the brim)

I know there have been problems over the years with some brands or specific cards not working well. 1st suggestion is to make sure the card is PROPERLY formatted, but even that didn't help in some cases. Lots of people using a 32GB cards, so it's likely an issue of some sort with that card (physical or formatting) than a general issue.

Yeah, it actually doesn't work at all. It's a brand name card and I've formatted it about a dozen times using Windows Disk Manager and the official SD Card formatter, all to no avail. There's nothing physically wrong with the card because it
