Isn't it kind of unusual that Blossom hasn't turned up for a few days? Hope she and everyone else who hasn't been on the thread recently are ok. Everyone just has too many books?

![]() Now I am trying to get through this horrible book I bought a couple months ago. Consumed by Skyla Madi. I don't like hero or heroine. I really don't like the heroine. She's really annoying and comes off selfish and acts way too immature for her age and is in constant heat. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Yep I thought it was just awful. Eve acted so out of character and not like herself and it just wasn't well put together even though there no mystery to this one. You know pretty much everything from beginning to end it was just really badly put together. So when I read Vengeance in Death I was blown away by how much she really improved in this one. Eve is back to being herself for the most part. The mystery was really good I didn't get where she was going till I think she hinted and wanted the smart readers to catch on. I am hoping 7 stays with the new formula.

Ceremony in Death was one of my least favorites in the series. And Vengeance one of the better ones. I think Treachery in Death is my all-time favorite*, but you've got a long way to go.
![]() *more for the relationships and character growth than the mystery - for the most part, I like the series more for the people than the suspense stories. Last edited by FizzyWater; 03-15-2014 at 01:14 AM. |

Three deals for Tanya Anne Crosby books:
Once Upon a Kiss: 1.99$ published originally by Avon 1995 http://www.amazon.com/Once-Upon-Kiss.../dp/B00A9Y49CM She came to wed his brother and stole the Dragon's heart... To settle a feud, Dominique Beauchamp was resigned to wed in order to heal their injured lands. Offered in marriage by her brother to the lord of Drakewich, she came to take the d'Lucy name ... but never counted on losing her heart to the brother of her betrothed--the Black Dragon. Blaec d'Lucy mistrusted her from the beginning, believing her to be part of her brother's endless perfidy, but he was powerless to resist the fiery-haired vixen that rode so proudly into their midst. Their love was sealed ... once upon a kiss. (There's a small box next to the prices counting down the days until the deal price goes back to 3.99$.This is new for me and I do not see it for the next books ![]() Viking's Prize: 1.99$ originally published by Avon 1994 http://www.amazon.com/Vikings-Prize-.../dp/B00AZOLZH8 Cursed with the second sight, Elienor of Baume les Nonnes dares not reveal her prophetic dreams for fear of meeting her mother's fiery fate-- but in her dreams she spied the Norsemen who would storm Brouillard castle--and she saw him, the fierce, golden-haired Viking who would claim her as his prize... Revenge brought Alarik Trygvason to the shores of the River Seine. Destiny gave him a dark-haired beauty with violet eyes. Beguiled by Elienor's strange dreams and her fiery spirit he can barely control the passions she arouses, body and soul... but in a land full of strife, he risks everything to love the woman whose dreams hold their future in thrall. Author's note: This book is based on a true story, set in the very turbulent Viking era. Please note: characters and story attempt to remain true to the period, so if you're bothered by violence, this book is not for you. Sagebrush Bride: 1.99$ originally published by Avon 1993 http://www.amazon.com/Sagebrush-Brid.../dp/B00BT79LNU Fiercely independent, Elizabeth Bowcock – “Doc Liz” as she’s known by all -- vows to raise her orphaned niece as her own. Unfortunately, the child’s grandfather has declared the unwed doctor to be an unfit guardian and refuses to deliver her to Liz's care until she finds herself a man... Enter dark-haired, devil-eyed Cutter McKenzie. Outcast for his Cheyenne blood, the handsome halfbreed volunteers to pose as Elizabeth’s husband. But though his wicked sex appeal threatens to undermine Liz's independence, the road to St. Louis promises even greater perils… |

Spoiler:
And thought there were some great character moments. I will agree the mystery was lacking. I liked Vengeance, too.

My advice is get through #5 and then immediately read #6 to wash it down. The 6th book has alot to do with Roarke and it's a really well done book and makes up for it.
