I'll likely keep my membership.

My chief complaint about Prime is that you can't stream video to any Android device other than a Kindle File. I bought a Kindle File. I didn't like the Kindle Fire. If I could stream to my N4 or my N7, I would seriously consider dropping Netflix and it would make the price increase more palatable.

Where's the ad-free, unlimited skips Prime Radio?

Prime Radio would make it palatable.

I only ever streamed Prime Video to my Fire for the novelty of the thing. Amazon Video on the Roku is what will keep me coming back.

I've only recently joined Amazon Prime and have found it to be a real money saver with the two day shipping. I also live in a small rural town and while the nearest Walmart may often have prices comparable to Amazon, that Walmart is a 45 mile drive each way. So since I started with Prime I have been purchasing all sorts of things that I would have in the past gone to Walmart for, or even items I could have purchased in the local supermarket.

I've not really been taking much advantage of the free streaming video though. I've just been too long in the habit of reading in the evening instead of watching television or videos I guess. But I will definitely renew at $99 a year as I can save that much in a few months. It's not like Walmart provides a personal touch to the shopping experience anyway, the last time I was there the store did not even have a single checkout manned by a human being and so I had to deal with one of those self-service checkouts that I hate.

For comparison, price-wise, Netflix is $96 per year.

If you are on the fence about getting it, you still have 7 days to get Prime at the $79 rate.

I'll be dropping our subscription. I can wait an extra day or two to recieve stuff, not a big deal. Streaming on Prime isn't supported on enough devices to make it a viable Netflix replacement for me.

To be fair, I would be dropping it without the price increase. It's still a good value if you use what they offer.

What other devices would you like to see it working on? It works from pretty much any laptop web browser, as well as from both Android and iOS tablets.

So iffy on whether or not to renew.
I only signed up for the streaming service.
The other stuff is a bonus, but not the main reason for signing up.
This past holiday season, I actually ordered more from Walmart than Amazon because it was the same price/cheaper, faster shipping, and more convenient just to use their free shipping or ship to store option.

$99 makes it more than Netflix (slightly).... so I'll have to weigh that against it. I'm not even sure what Netflix has anymore.

I'm keeping Amazon Prime. Saving on shipping costs for 2 day delivery says it all even for $ 99 per year. I also use Netflix for DVD and streaming movies. They beat Amazon on figuring out what I like best.

I'm curious about this as well. It's actually on quite a few - though someone mentioned something about only Kindle Fires for android.
I am able to stream on the PS3, Wii U, and various idevices.
I have yet to check on my rooted nook tablet though.

I don't mind the increase. I order quite a bit from Amazon at least two shipments per week. I live in a rural area and Amazon has been a huge help for me.

I would expect an increase, everything else has gone up in cost.

You can't stream Amazon video content on any android phones or tablets. For tablets, only ipad and Kindles have the Amazon video app. I think the original poster was referring to the fact that he bought a Fire instead of a different, preferred tablet (like a nexus or samsung) in order to be able to stream amazon.

You can stream on the Nexus devices and any Android device if you set your browser to desktop mode and set flash on. If you have Kitkat it only works with Dolphin browser with the hacked version of flash player on xda. I use this and it works great. I can't stream it on WDLive or Chromecast and there is no native Android app. Their app on my current-gen Sony blu-ray player leaves a lot to be desired.

It is possible to stream it through a browser, but that is rather clunky and doesn't easily stream to the TVs where I do most of my viewing. While I do have enough cables and devices to make it work where I need it it's just not worth the hassle compared to Netflix, which has good native apps on pretty much everything.
