I'm guessing you mean somewhere other than the top right corner, which is supposed to create a bookmark?

That's good advice, but this one is firmware/hardware related. Multiple people having the same thing on different devices, and I tried cleaning a while ago.

The ability to sort Collections order is gone for me -the only option is 'New Collection'.

I don't have the LastLibrarySorter_shelfList line in my Kobo eReader.conf file, and I tried adding it like in this thread it has no effect.

Any ideas?

Perhaps you're pressing the wrong option. It works for me if I press the Sort option on the left in the grey bar on the My Collections page. I only see 'New Collection' if I press the grey bar right-hand menu icon (3 horizontal bars)

There isn't a Sort option as far as I can see. Am I missing the obvious? It would not be the first time.

No, you aren't missing the obvious. The sort menu should be there. It is should be in the grey line on the left. This was only a recent addition the firmware. I don't remember exactly when, but 2.8.1 didn't have it.

If you are on 3.2.0 and the device is not a Touch or Mini, then what was discussed in the other thread should solve it. If it doesn't, can you post the contents of your "Kobo eReader.conf" file?

There is something wrong here. The "LastLibrarySorter_shelfList_" line has been added to the end of another line. Remove the double quotes that are around the value on that line and then split it before "LastLibrarySorter_shelfList_". There are also some extra spaces appearing in the lines, but hopefully they are being added when you do the copy-paste to the forum.

If you are using Windows, make sure you use an editor that understands Linux style line ends. Using Notepad will make a mess of the file and the device won't understand it. I normally use NotePad++.

Excellent - downloading NotePad++ and will edit as you've said. I was using NotePad on Win7 so that probably added to the problem.

You can use Notepad, if you're careful to copy another entry and the CR-LF character which seems to be represented by a rectangle in Notepad and then edit that line you pasted in. But, Notepad++ is great. Yeah, I was in a hurry and just had to try it when I had the problem.

WordPad (standard with all Windows versions, just like Notepad) will handle LF vs CR/LF delimited text files corrrectly. No need to download anything, although Notepad++ is a very nice text editor and well worth installing as a Notepad replacement.
