The Drs name is not present in one area, although it is elsewhere on the form, and the damn address for the office is 1257 on the form but 1255 in their records.

For PETE'S sake... I don't care.. I just want the tests done so I can go eat.

Rather than holding up the other people waiting I say I'll go to the office and get it sorted. Of course, damn office is closed till Monday.

So here I am, Starbucks with venti black coffee and oatmeal with nuts.

All I can say is it's a good job you were not there for elevated blood pressure...

Well the blood pressure is mostly normal, but the nurse checks that when I see the Dr. The more important measures are the sugars and cholesterol.. I need to see how much change I've managed to achieve via diet and meds these last three months.

I feel for you. My heart metaphorically drops whenever I get to see test results (or even get into one, ironic because I'm a biologist and that's technically a part of the medical field, but you feel what you tend to feel in these times).

Diet and meds are interesting, because they actually really help, as tested from the history of mankind. Herbal products are usually what I go for though. I find them detoxifying so I feel really good after taking them.

So I came to this thread with nothing to vent, but only look over to at least give some boost to those who needed to, but I remembered earlier today when there is just one moment in time that you truly wanted to vent, with someone that you would like to trust, because at that crucial moment you have nothing and no one and all your friends are already all on their way to the different parts of the globe and you wanted someone who would just--listen. Just be there. For that one moment that you needed to let it out.

But that one person stops you and says your feelings are invalid because you should do this or that instead, and because "structurally speaking" it would be more ideal for an "idyllic" person to be "like this".

And I was only trying to express.

That's how I knew I found the wrong person to at least want to trust.

So ... today at 4:00 the internet went down - the Time Warner service rep claimed he "just received a bulletin about outages in our area" and "we weren't alone" - my boss began to enter interwebs withdrawal syndrome - I packed up and came home.

It's my fault you see .... it's always my fault ... so I decided to give them a chance to discuss my failings without my being there. Calmly stroking the cats now ...

Adopt the stoic I know it is all my fault face, and carry a please fire me now placard. We know they don't really think it is any way your fault. They are just trying to shift the blame.

I am beginning to seriously investigate early retirement and relocating - to a more 'migraine friendly' part of the USA - with NO snow - reports online indicate the SW USA has very dry, stable air masses with minimal barometric pressure changes. San Diego and points south are highly rated. Got any real estate contacts there?

A few years ago, during cold weather, we kept experiencing internet outages in the mornings ... that 'cured' themselves by noon. I deduced an outside line/connection problem - that was icing up at night and thawing each morning. Time Warner insisted on replacing our cable modem .... over & over & over ... and then finally *BINGO* they climbed the light pole carrying our cable and found - a leaky connector that filled with condensed moisture & iced up every night.

While this morning outage ritual was occurring, I printed a lol cats picture of a frowning Persian cat with the caption "Yes, I know the interwebs is down. Sue me." - and taped it to my office door. I enjoyed that.

I can hook you up pretty much anywhere, but seriously we have very little snow here, and if you were to go to the top of the peninsula in the rain shadow, it's damn near balmy!

The key feature for 'migraine friendly' is barometric pressure changes. Areas that have lots of fronts moving in & out trigger migraines. I'm particularly sensitive to incoming & outgoing low pressure fronts. How often does your weather change? How many storms?

The extreme SW USA has very stable air masses for long periods of time - and dry heat without humidity. When I lived in Pullman, WA the summer heat often topped 100 F but there was no humidity - so I tolerated it quite well. The winter snows were another story. I still have my Army surplus ice crampons.
