I understand, too. But the fact I did so much of last week's shopping on "measly" 55%/65% codes helped me get over it.

Good news is that the regular contest codes are still good today so I was able to buy the new releases I wanted. Last contest they expired before Tuesday.

Okay have any of you read Death Angel by Linda Howard? It's got to be the one of the weirdest books I've have read! I'm 80% done and and the first half I really enjoyed then it just went really strange. I'm still scratching my head why the author went that way. Very odd. Not sure if I can read another one of her books so soon after this one!

This book was the second to last straw in my break-up with her as an author. I refer to it as the how-to-launder-money book. As opposed to the how-to-survive-an-airplane-crash book or the what-not-to-do-when-you-win-the-lottery book. She was an auto-buy for me in the past. I think I read one of two past this one, but blah. Too much info-dumping, dry research and not enough character.

I still have several of her titles from earlier in her career on my keeper shelf. But I no longer read her.

Can you list the keepers when you get time? This is a library book so no money wasted but wow I totally agree with info-dumping and not enough character. So not a romance either!
