The Indian site has all the Charteris Saint books! They're not available in the US store. I've been waiting for them forever.

Try changing the country to India.

Addendum: And perhaps using Chrome.

And thanks also Lynx-Lynx, nope, Chrome gives me old checkout for HongKong too. I did get India to work in both Safari and Chrome.

I wonder if somewhere in India someone is scratching their head, wondering about the sudden increase in English language ebook sales, all drastically reduced in price.

It appears the Canadian retailers have started to reduce their prices. Many on my wish list have dropped on Amazon, Kobo and Sony.

Yes I am back - I just figured out how to travel with Kobo and use the 90% code. I think someone needs to yank my computer. Got a few more that weren't eligible unless I traveled.

This has been one hellava book buying weekend.

Today I have gotten 110 books for $80. I swear, I am nearly at the point of hoping they turn the code off on Monday morning (Kobo's head office is in EST in Canada) so I do not go completely broke!

I know this is not the right place for this question, but this forum/thread seems more active than others (for good reason). I went on a bit of a shopping spree on the Indian site yesterday, but 3 of the books I purchased ended up being pdfs rather than epubs, which is a pain. (2 photography books and one academic book). When I went back through the purchase process -- Indian 'new look' site -- I can't see anywhere where it specifies that a book is epub vs pdf format before you click 'Buy It'. Do I need glasses?

There's no place that reliably specifies the file type. If you don't see anything under "READ THIS ON" (you'll normally see Desktop, Ereaders, Android, etc), then it's likely a PDF. If it doesn't include "Blackberry", then it's likely kepub only and can only be read with Kobo software (I got burned on that one today, but for eighty cents, I'm not going to bother complaining). The most reliable way to tell is to add a preview of the book. If it's an epub, you'll see "EPUB (DRM-free)" or "Adobe DRM EPUB" in "Download options" under the cover image. Not all books allow previews, though, so sometimes you still have to guess.

Add me to the crew that says this code has them super charged!!!

Yep, I really need to come off the charge now - it's been 3 days for me and if it's anything like last October (?) then it took Kobo two to three weeks from memory to fix up the Receipts and the codes.

I don't think I can last the distance ......

During the middle of the night I woke up and used my phone to post in this thread - yep 3am ish (Why? Because I wondered if the code was still working!!! )

I've re-charged the credit card, but golly gee ..... Kobo seems to let this happen (well maybe not 'let') every now and again, so surely commonsense will prevail and I'll stop buying now, regroup my energies and needs and wait till the 'next' time there's a bonanza sale going. Yeah right!!!

Edit
Did I mention I've got to go, bit busy at the moment, I'm buying all of Adrian Magson's books

BTW some of them are AUD32 cents

Thanks for your reponse. I seem to remember that the format was specified in the old site design, so this seems to be a (significant) oversight in the new design. PDFs just aren't as convenient or user-friendly, and I would avoid them if I could. Well, at least I got a good discount on them...
