Pc not recognising?

Just bought mum a Glo for her birthday and now trying to connect it to the pc but it doesn't do anything. The screen on the unit claims it is connected and charging but nothing installs and nothing appears in my computer (windows 7).

Tried different cables and Usb ports to no luck. Also downloaded the desktop 'app' in the hope it may have drivers.

Is there something simple I'm missing?
Please help!
Thanks,
Matt

If it's not showing up in Computer as another drive and it's not showing up in Kobo Desktop then something's wrong. I would try it on another computer to see if the problem is the kobo or the computer.

Every once in a while, people new to Kobo miss the making a choice step when you first plug in the device. You will see a screen that says "Computer Detected" and then have to choose to connect (or cancel). That's probably not it, but it does happen.

could it be you just need to go to system management on your computer and set the drive letter correctly?

I have had that issue b4 its relatively easy to fix. Just google drive management for windows version you have and follow the instructions,

for windows 7 use this link for instructions

http://pcsupport.about.com/od/window...-windows-7.htm

for windows xp use this link

http://pcsupport.about.com/od/tipstr...gedriveltr.htm

good luck
