Flat and Sharp notation in music

Could anyone tell me please whether there are HTML entities or codes to show flat and sharp notation? And of course what they are, or where I can find out?

I need to show 'Suite in Eflat' by Gustave Holst as part of a list of works. I could use 'Suite in Eb', but I don't think that would not be acceptable to musicians; they would want the proper symbol. |

In Unicode, the sharp symbol (♯) is at code point U+266F. Its HTML entity is ♯.

The Unicode character ♭(U+266D) is the flat sign. Its HTML entity is ♭. (From Wikipedia) |

![]() If you wrote them originally as numerical entities, I think they are automatically transformed by the forum software. To prevent this, you can use , as in: ♯ is ♯ (&#9839;) ♭ is ♭ (&#9837;) For all kind of conversions between entities, Unicode characters, etc. I find this very useful: http://rishida.net/tools/conversion/ |
