Kobo Glo overclock

Hello,
Now with Android running in our kobos it would be great if we can overclock them. Any advance on this question?
Im not certain about the specific model of the glo's processor; it is the freescale i.mx6 solo?
If it is we can modify the kernel in the same way as, for example, the Wandbord?

Well my Kobo Mini is a little slow turning pages right now. Sure it could be fun over clocking to get maybe faster response but for basic reading only not needed. I can sip a drink, look for ghosts, or zombies while waiting for page turns. More likely touch side of page a little before finished reading page for just in time page turn.

The Glo has an iMX 507 processor.

I dont think that is glo's processor. In the kobo specs it says it is solo 6 1ghz processor.
If it is, i think its possible to modify Glo's kernel in order to overclock it.

I don't think you'd get much benefit out of overclocking the processor. Still, far be it for me to discourage someone from tinkering! Have fun!

Where did you see those specs? Here are the kernel sources for the Kobo Glo, among other devices.

Here for example.
I dont have much knowledge about programing, i only know to do simple things. Im hoping that someone with more experience could help me to solve this.
It would be to dificult to run android CyanogenMod in our Kobos? It already has support for overclocking among other things and it seems to have better performance than android ( at least for native android devices).
Again, im noob in this things and i will appreciate all the help from more experient users.

Thanks for sugestions !

PeterT thanks for the info.
I dont know if it was discussed here before, but why that info about the Glo processor is so contradictory in various sites?
So, from freescale site , all of mx50 processor models have 800mhz clock. It is already overclocked by kobo?

Anyway, thats not the problem.
The interesting objective its to increase android on kobo functionalities and increase the processor frequency.
An interesting path that im investigating is to change the kernel in order to make overclocking possible. The largest obstacle its my lack of knowledge recompiling the kernel. The overclocking function itself seems easy to implement, there are many instructuions on android foruns.

Porting Cyanogenmod would probably be a pretty big job, but not necessarily impossible. See the Cyanogenmod porting guide. Compiling the kernel is pretty straightforward once you get setup. You'll want to be using Linux for that.

I don't know anything about overclocking myself, but the Freescale Android support stuff might be useful.

I would just like to mention that on a Touch C (Freescale MX50 Reference Design Platform), The BogoMIPS are 799.53.
